Point Bearing
Concentration of compressive stressed between small areas. May occur when a partial-depth patch in portland cement concrete pavement is made without the compressible insert. Also, slab expansion in hot weather forces an adjacent slab to bear directly against a small partial-dept patch and causes the patch to fail by delaminating and popping out of place.
