Contract Maintenance
The range of contracting methods and vehicles used by public transportation agencies to accomplish maintenance programs and supplement activities which may be performed in-house. Contracts may be activity based where the agency provides specifications and compensation is either on a lump sum or unit price basis; or performance based, long term total asset management contracting which requires the contractor to provide turn-key maintenance to an established level of service.
