Bridge Preventive Maintenance
Is a planned strategy of systematic, cost-effective treatments to existing bridge elements that preserve the current condition and delays future deterioration. Examples: painting (spot and over-coating), corrosion protection, scour prevention, crack sealing, re-sealing of joints, joint repair and washing of weathering steel.
