LA Swift is an emergency bus service designed to transport displaced New Orleans-area residents with no transportation between Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and points in-between for jobs, job searches, and similar recovery efforts.
How much does the ride cost?
The fare to ride LA Swift is now $5.00 per one-way trip. The fare is the same, regardless of where you board or exit.
When do the buses run?

Where does LA Swift take me?
LA Swift buses go back-and-forth between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. There are two stops each in Baton Rouge and in New Orleans. Also, there are intermediate stops in Sorrento and in LaPlace. Some trips stop in Sorrento, some in LaPlace, and some at both intermediate stops.
Do the buses have bike racks? No. However, bikes may be stored in the luggage bays of the bus on a space avalable basis.
Are the buses handicapped equipped? Yes, at least 15% of the buses must be ADA accessible. The schedule on the LASWIFT website clearly shows the times when ADA equipment is avalable/employed.
Can I bring a pet on the bus as long as it is in a carrier? No pets are allowed--except those that provide assistance to the blind.
