The Louisiana Good Roads & Transportation Association (LGRTA) is an organization of businesses and interested parties from across the state committed to improving Louisiana’s highway infrastructure. To educate and inform the public and our state legislature, LGRTA is promoting a statewide campaign called “Driving Louisiana Forward.”

“Driving Louisiana Forward” is more than a slogan. It is a plan to pave the way to job creation and economic growth for Louisiana. Louisiana has more than 6,000 miles of bad rural roads, and congestion is choking metropolitan areas. In addition, many of our state’s bridges are more 40 years old, dilapidated and in need of repair. Crumbling roads and traffic congestion are hurting Louisiana in its efforts to recover and grow economically.
